What Events Are Taking Place in December?

We like to set aside a couple blogs every month to let our patients know about special events taking place in the community. In December, there will a ton of fun and festive events for the entire family. Be sure to make time for lights, holiday arts and crafts festivals, and more!

December Community Events

  1. Twinkle Light Parade: The Twinkle Light Parade will take place on December 2nd at 5:15pm. Admission is free and the show starts at Nob Hill on Washington Blvd, west to Girard Blvd on Central Avenue. There will be cars, bikes, floats, marching bands, and even Santa Claus himself.
  2. River of Lights: From now until December 30th you and your family enjoy the River of Lights from 6pm until 9:30pm at the Botanic Garden (2601 Central Avenue NW). Admission for adults is $12 and kids is $6. There are over 150 displays, including animated sculptures and lights synchronized with music. The display is closed on December 24th and 25th.
  3. Holiday Shop and Stroll: From now until December 8th you can take part in the Holiday Shop and Stroll at Nob Hill, Old Town Plaza, and the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. Each location will include unique performances, gifts for purchase, and an opportunity to support a local charity.
  4. 53rd Annual Luminaria Tour: You can enjoy the 53rd Annual Luminaria Tour on December 24th from 5:30pm until 7:30pm at the Downtown Convention Center (401 2nd Street NW). Admission is $3.50 for adults and $2.20 for children.
