Community Events

  1. 7th Annual New Mexico Black History Festival: The New Mexico Black History Organizing Committee will be hosting the 7th Annual New Mexico Black History Festival throughout February at various locations across Albuquerque. There will be plays, conferences, award ceremonies, concerts, galas, and even a screening of Marvel Studios’ new movie Black Panther.
  2. Da Vinci, The Genius: The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science will be hosting an exhibit on Leonardo Da Vinci form February 1st until July 29th. The museum is located at 1801 Mountain Road NW. The exhibit is open from 9am until 5pm. Admission is between $20 and $23. This interactive exhibit is open to everyone and covers the great thinker’s scientific and artistic endeavors.
  3. Friends and Lovers Balloon Rally: The Friends and Lovers Balloon Rally will take place on February 10th and February 11th at Balloon Fiesta Park (5000 Balloon Fiesta Parkway). Admission is free and launch begins at 7am on each day. You can enjoy coffee and hot chocolate while watching over 135 different balloons take to the sky.
