Community Events
- New Mexico Black History Festival: The 2019 New Mexico Black History Festival takes place from now through the end of February. Events and exhibits take place daily from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm. The kickoff brunch takes place on Saturday, January 26th, and finishes with a Civil Rights Tour in April. There also be conferences, art exhibits, competitions, and much more!
- Friends and Lovers Balloon Rally: You and your family can enjoy the 2019 Friends and Lovers Balloon Rally from February 9th through the 19th at Balloon Fiesta Park on 5000 Balloon Fiesta Parkway NE. Events start each day at 8 am and feature hundreds of balloons taking flight. The event is free and hosted by the Albuquerque Aerostat Ascension Association (AAAA).
- Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championship: The 2019 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championship takes place from February 21st through February 23rd at the Albuquerque Convention Center (401 Second Street NW). You and your family can watch the men and women representing the Mountain West Conference take part in various field and track events at the Albuquerque Convention Center’s indoor track facility.
- Ours The Zia Sun: The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center will be hosting the Ours The Zia Sun exhibit from February 22nd through October 20th at 2401 12th Street NW.
