Once again, we would like to cover four upcoming events in October. From the last weekend to catch an amazing exhibit, to the city’s largest farmer’s market, there is plenty to see and do. Community Events
- Rail Yards Market: Rail Yards Market takes place on Sunday, but the last weekend is October 27th, so be sure to stop by before the season ends! The market is located at 777 1st Street and is open from 10am until 2pm. Admission is free, and you can buy foods, art, and more from other 100 vendors. There is also live music and educational events for kids. The entire market takes place in the historic Blacksmith Shop.
- Downtown Growers Market: The state’s longest running farmer’s market only lasts from now through November 2nd, so be sure to stop by! The market takes place on Saturdays at Robinson Park on 810 Copper Avenue NW, on the corner of Central Avenue and 8th Street. Admission is free and the market is open from 8am until noon. You can shop from over 160 vendors, with fresh food, arts and crafts, and more available! There will also be live entertainment from local bands, community organizations and non-profits, and yoga and wellness events!
- The Zia Sun: This is the last weekend to enjoy this incredible exhibit at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center on 2401 12th Street NW. Ours The Zia Sun is open daily, and explains the history of this well-known and beloved New Mexico icon. Learn about the symbol’s origins, rise in popularity, and ownership! A great educational exhibit for the entire family to enjoy.
- New Mexico United: Saturday is the last game in New Mexico United’s Inaugural season! Come support your newest local team at the Isotopes Baseball Club on 1601 Avenida Cesar Chavez SE. Games start at 7:30pm and admission is $13. A wonderful event to take in with your friends or family!
