What to Do When Your Partials Break

1. Pick up the pieces and wash them gingerly. Then, place the pieces on a towel on a level surface and allow them to dry.
2. Next, determine where the pieces belong, like a jigsaw puzzle, of sorts.
3. Then, make your two-part epoxy mix. Use an equal amount of both to make a sound adhesive. Stir the epoxy mixture with a wooden stick.
4. Dab a bit of the epoxy on each side of the missing pieces to ensure the parts will stick together.
5. Carefully and gently hold the components together for at least 30 seconds. This creates a sturdy bonding seal to prevent the pieces from falling apart again.
6. Then, with the wooden stir stick, apply some of the epoxies onto the crack and allow the entire unit to dry for at least five minutes. Once the denture has dried, turn it over, and repeat the same steps for the underside of the partial.
7. If the partial denture broke in more than one place, follow the same steps until every piece has been mended back into one solid denture again. Afterward, allow the partials to dry overnight.
