May Events In Albuquerque

One thing you can say about Albuquerque, NM: There is always something going on! In today’s blog, we’re looking at four events taking place this weekend and next week, from markets to festivals and even a unique studio tour. Community Events

1. Grower’s Market: The Downtown Grower’s Market will take place from now through November 2^nd at Robinson Park on 810 Copper Avenue NW, on the corner of Central Avenue and 8^th Street. Admission is free, and you can enjoy one the largest markets in the state of New Mexico. There will be local produce, on-site prepped food, arts and crafts, and performance from local bands. There will also be yoga in the park and other fun family activities.
2. Celtic Festival: This weekend is the 31^st Annual Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival on Saturday and Sunday at Rotary Park on 300 Rotary Park Road. Each day, the festival starts at 9am and features live music, children’s events, dance demonstrations, bagpipes, and athletics and Clan Row! You can also purchase arts and crafts.
3. Rail Yards Market: You can visit the Rail Yards Market, which opens this Sunday and lasts until October 17^th. The market happens at Rail Yards Market on 777 1^st Street Southwest. The market lasts from 10am until 2pm every Sunday. There will be food, live music, arts and craft vendors, and more! There is also a demonstration and educational zone for children to enjoy.
4. Placitas Studio Tour: Check out the 22^nd Annual Placitas Studio Tour on May 11^th and May 12^th fat the Placitas Mountain Craft and Soiree Society. The tour is free and you can see the studios of over 60 Placitas artists. Meet the artists and learn about their process and their latest work.
